I had an idea the other day.
Here’s what that idea sounded like.
Listen to it here, then go download a bunch of other songs I’ve made, at wheelsandtracks.bandcamp.com.
And glowstick.
Just for fun, I made a cover of Versant’s version of S.O.S. by ABBA. It’s a cover of a cover.
I sure hope you’ve got some serious subwoofers for this one. That and a change of pants.
This is what the middle of the night sounds like.
Download it — and others — here.
[insert blazing lead synth line here]
I call this one “With Lemons” for multiple reasons.
- Since it’s been rather hot, I’ve felt like making some summery music.
- What goes with summer better than fresh-squeezed lemonade?
- The idea for this song snuck up on me and sucker-punched me right in the stomach. So I decided to get even. Because you know what they say, “If life gives you lemons, burn life’s house down! With lemons!”
So there you have it.
Although I must say, I prefer my lemons in lemonade form, mixed with some iced tea in a tasty Arnold Palmer.
If you like it, why don’t you go download it?
Due to a complete and total lack of sunshine the past few days, here’s some straight up sunshine in a bottle for you to stick in your pocket.
Save it for a day like today, or the middle of the night when everything’s gloomy.
Then– just when nobody’s expecting it– whip this bottle of sunshine out, slap it down on the table, uncork it and BLAM!
Instant party.
And rave.
This song’s called “Drop Step” in case you were wondering, which I’m sure you weren’t…
And glow-stick.
Enjoy.
Here is a song I created to go along with my picture: “The Two Great Lights”. A short but spacey idea entitled:
“The Farthest Reaches”
This is the result of about an hour of playing with Reason. What you hear is some sub bass and general electronicness in the background with a couple of CP-80’s combined with a ton of reverb (I think there’s something like 5 different reverb units combined into one, run through another reverse delay just for kicks).
Everything you hear was played with a computer keyboard, which is controlling a little virtual midi program, which is sending the signals to Reason, which does it’s thing and brings the noise.
Enjoy.
