Here is my desktop in all it’s geekness.
What you see here is a combination of background image and automatically generated text embedded in the background using Geektool.
If you look closely (with a magnifying glass), you may be able to spot:
Working analog and digital clocks, Weather updates from Yahoo weather, A list of IP addresses my computer is establishing connections with, My own IP (blurred), Battery power (in my laptop), Uptime and RAM usage, What’s playing in iTunes and how far along the track is, Current network upload and download rates, Wireless network name, Recent Twitter feed, Three sets of randomly generated numbers that automatically update every few minutes.
All of that in amidst a jumble of useless “tech” noise. All of which ensures I’m the only one who can read anything on it at a quick glance.
